Club Scrap Blog Hop - Navigation

Welcome back for the last blog hop of 2015!  We are finding our way through the end of the year with Club Scrap's December kit, Navigation!

If you traveled here from Deb's blog, then you are following the hop the hop! following the hop! If you've lost your way or just want to see all the links in one place, head over to the Club Scrap blog there to see a list of all the talented bloggers participating today.

I loved the muted colors of this kit, but my favorite part of the paper was certainly the patterns!  I have a thing for maps, new or old, and this kit has some amazing map prints.  I couldn't pick one pattern to feature, so I had to find a way to incorporate all of them!

So I decided to weave all of the patterns together for one simple card.

No fancy techniques on this card!  I simply cut strips of the patterned paper I wanted to use into half-inch strips, adhered one end to the card base for stability, then started weaving the paper together.  I may end up adding a sentiment to the card once I decide who this will be for, but the paper can certainly speak for itself.

This would be a perfect technique to use up old scraps for that you can't seem to part with.  I would definitely use this technique on a scrapbook page too - either a large or small embellishment, depending on what you need it for.

I hope you try this easy technique out on your cards and pages - I think you will like the results!

Thanks for stopping by - your next stop is Anne Marie - go see what she has up her sleeve!  Be sure to stop in next year as we Celebrate with Club Scrap's 200th kit!

  7. Really a great look, thanks for the eye candy today! I bet the process is kind of fun and relaxing too. Of course it has so many fun options, like just using prints, or rubber stamping, or just solids, and the color combos are endless. Can you tell I want to do this soon?!?!
