Club Scrap Holiday Unmounted Stamp Challenge

Welcome back for November's Club Scrap Artist Team challenge.  Can you believe we're over halfway done with November?  That means the holidays are almost upon us!

With that in mind, our challenge this month was to work with some of the fun holiday-themed stencils and stamps Club Scrap has in their collection.  We worked with two stamp sets - Homemade Holiday and Gnome for the Holidays.  I was traveling for work while I made my project this month, so it was a fast and easy (and portable) project to whip up.

I made a couple of cute banner/garlands to help me get in the holiday spirit.  These garlands can easily be displayed on a wall, off of a mantle, or even around your tree!

To make these garlands, I simply stamped one of the images (the gingerbread man or the ornament) on a strip of paper, then made an accordion fold to use up the whole strip.  I then cut around the stamped image, making sure I left some of the folded edges intact on both sides.  Once I cut out the image, I could unfold the strip and I had a joined line of shapes!  Then I stamped the original stamp in the remaining spaces and decorated the ornament with the matching stencil and stamps.

I used the new metallic stamp pads to add some festivity to my garlands, but my favorite piece was decorating each individual ornament.  Once I get back to my craft room, I think I will need to add some bling or dazzles to the ornaments for some extra oomph!

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the other amazing holiday projects from my fellow team members too!
